Women having it all!

Women having it all!

Today women have been told we can have it all, careers, families, kids, community involvement, and relationships. But all too often, having it all leaves us with no time or strength left for ourselves.

Recent research has shown that women today are less happy than they have been over the past 40 years. There are many theories about why, but lack of free time is what I want to address today.

( your own private “ME” time) can be a major reason.

I remember the days wishing I had one minute to just go to the bathroom without someone calling “MOMMY” .

“There’s a tremendous amount of stress and pressure put on women: being parents, being daughters, mothers, wives, professionals and care takers for our elderly parents.  All of these roles combined leave many of us not taking adequate care or love for ourselves — which is what sustains us and gives us the energy to take care of all these other responsibilities that we have.

Whether you’re wrangling toddlers, sleeplessly waiting for your teen to come home, working 40 plus hours, caring for your aging parents , every woman needs an occasional break for sanity’s sake. This means taking time each day to do something for yourself.

Make yourself a priority  , No its not selfish, its essential to a healthy mind and body. This is where my ideas were messed up  most of my life :(.

Make  your ME time as important as the pediatrician’s visit, kids sports games, your time in commute for your parents doctors visit and  grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning. Treat it just like any other appointment you put on your to do list. You need to recharge your own battery so you don’t feel frazzled and worn out.

Try to find at least an  hour to an hour every day for youIt doesn’t have to be all at once.  Make sure it is not for anyone but yourself and be honest about it. If you are anything like me this will be the hardest thing you will ever have to do in your life.  Read a book, get a massage, talk a walk all by yourself, go for  a cup of coffee that you did not make, go shopping ( for yourself), mediate, or watch a movie.

I wish I had read this in my younger years, If I did my battery might not have  worn out in the worse sense ever and I might not have needed to write this today.

Take it from someone who is now dealing with the issues today because she didn’t do what her older self is sharing with you today.

What are some ways you take your “ME” time?

Hello, we both subscribe to Angie (Hot&Flashy) on YouTube and I read your comment about natural bio-identicals and wondered if you can share your experience with them as I am considering trying them. I enjoy your blog post and hope you’ve been finding ME time. Take good care and thanks! My YouTube channel is Allanna Green but I don’t post videos.

Hi there Allanna! What you need to do first is find your self a natural doctor who prescribes the bio-identical in your area and get established with them. They will do a detailed blood work to find your hormone levels and restore them them to full power with the supplements. I promise you that your investment in your health and well being will bring you and others peace and health. It is a long process but well worth it. Blessings to you in 2014!
